To Hell and
Back...Only by the Grace of God
Lisa
Crawford brings us her unforgettable voice overflowing
with emotion that exposes the depths of past pain as
well as spiritual joy. Each song on the Lisa Crawford
debut release, "Manifold Blessings," is a testimony
to her incredible journey that began in Detroit, Michigan,
crisscrossing the country before arriving in Washington,
D.C., which she now calls home.
With an incredible voice that
echoes her gospel and jazz influences, along with her
years of classical voice studies in New York, Philadelphia
and San Francisco, Lisa expresses the struggles and
triumphs of her amazing journey through eleven beautiful
hymns and songs of praise. With a blend of heartfelt
emotion and amazing grace, Lisa delivers the timeless
hymn, "I Must Tell Jesus," a true testament of her struggles
to overcome various addictions.
It
is a miracle from God that Manifold Blessings happened
at all. A very promising classical singing career vanished
during a difficult time when Lisa struggled to remain
sober. Now, more than ever, she realizes that it doesn't
matter how far you've fallen, you can rise and walk
anew by the grace of God. During her recent debut performance
before a spirit-filled audience of several hundred in
Silver Spring, Maryland, Lisa openly testified, "While
I was yet a sinner...before I was cleaned up...before
I stopped drinking and drugging...before I could love
you or myself...Christ died for me. By His blood I am
cleansed and made whole."
From her lowest of lows God has lifted Lisa to new heights
as a partner, president and CEO of a successful multi-million
dollar business that is a daily reminder to her of God's
awesome power.
Now
Lisa sings solely to minister and testify to others.
Evidence of her years of singing in the church spill
out in her unique arrangement of "Near the Cross" and
the amazing energy of "Power in the Blood." "Come Thou
Fount" and "Jesus" offer beautiful arrangements that
provide an orchestral touch to this collection of hymns.
If you enjoy the richly melodic
voice of Mahalia Jackson, the sweet stylings
of Sarah Vaughn or the phenomenal talents of
Leontyne Price, this collection of timeless hymns
will truly be a treat.
